Dr. Harry Martin Lincoln

Dr. Lincoln's Gravesite, Ballou Cemetery, Greenfield, New York

My name is Albert Clarke II and my wife, Sheila, and I currently reside in the home of Dr. Lincoln in Wilton, New York.

Author's home ca. 1970
Built by Dr. Harry Martin Lincoln 1898

I have written two books regarding Dr. Lincoln and his family history. I am of no relation to Dr. Lincoln but have been compelled to write his story and the history of his ancestors which is described in greater detail in my book. This journey began around twelve years ago when I was asked to participate in a "House Tour" of the Wilton Heritage Society. The end result of that tour was my first book "The Doc Lincoln House" copyright 2000. This is a softbound book of about 60 pages that tells the story of the past owners of the property dating back to 1881. This document has undergone two subsequent revisions. The house was built by Doctor Harry Martin Lincoln in 1898 and he and his stepmother Carrie Cooper Lincoln were the owners from 1898 - 1937. Doc Lincoln never married. My second book, "Ancestors of Nedabiah Lincoln Sr.", was published December 2008. It is the family history of Dr. Harry Martin Lincoln. This book is just under 300 pages and relates the stories of Nedabiah Lincoln Sr. and Sarah (Sally) Hodges Lincoln and their children Nedabiah Lincoln Jr., Sarah(Sally) Lincoln, Henry (Harry) Lincoln, Betsey Lincoln, Fannie Ophilia Hodges Lincoln, George Washington Lincoln Sr., Charles Lincoln, Williams Lincoln and Warren S. Lincoln. The book does not trace the English heritage of Thomas "the miller" Lincoln, family founder, who arrived in Massachusetts in 1636. The main focus of the book is Nedabiah Sr. and his descendants.
