Henry (Harry) Lincoln

Henry (Harry) Lincoln was the third child of Nedabiah Lincoln Sr. and Sarah (Sally) Hodges Lincoln. He was born January 12, 1787 in Taunton, Massachusetts. Nedabiah Sr., living in Taunton, was poor and had extra mouths to feed. Nedabiah II was the oldest boy and the most help to Nedabiah Sr., so Henry, the next oldest boy was sent (in 1795) to live in Greenfield, Saratoga County, NY, with his mother's brother Timothy Hodges (who had no children). This helped both families. Henry became quite successful, so his parents and several siblings moved to Greenfield ca 1818. Henry owned a very large farm and was one of the wealthiest farmers in the Town of Greenfield. Henry married Hannah White, who was born on May 13, 1787. They had 9 children:

Susan Brownell Lincoln – 1812-1892
Sally – 1814-1847
Dexter – 1816-1882
Lucinda – 1818-1851
Lucy Maria – 1820-1908
John D – 1822-1874
Henry S – 1824-1858
Hannah Jane – 1827-1885
Samuel W – 1829-1875

Hannah White died on November 2, 1869 and Henry (Harry) Lincoln died on March 19, 1873. They were both buried in a family plot on the farm. They were both reburied, with several other family members, in the Corinth Rural Cemetery.
